"Total chill-out"

" This is a wonderful place to come if you want a relaxing and romantic setting with stunning views. There are clearly some poeple for whom the resort is not suitable (including two of the recent reviewers) but I have to say I cannot square their comments with the experience my partner and I had while we were there.

The rooms are absolutely fine and ours had a fantastic view. The bay in which it is situated is quite tidal so when the moon is full the water goes out a long way exposing the coral underneath. But this is noly a problem for part of the day and if it co-incides with the main beach time, the hotel runs a free boat to a nearby island where the tide isn't an issue.

We found the staff friendly and helpful and the food was good and varied. It does not aspire to Michelin standards but, for a smallish resort there is a good choice of cuisine. The wine is a bit pricey but that is an issue all round Thailand.

The boat trip to the nearby town is expensive for the distance but the solution is not to go! You will not miss much.

We both thought the Spa was excellent and a complimentary massage was included in the price. The cost of the others we had seemed perfectly reasonable.

There is free wi-fi throughout the resort and it mainly works fine. There are also a couple of PCs which can be used.

All in all we thought is was a wonderful and relaxing place. It might not suit bargain-hunting perfectionists but most people will have a great time.

Room Tip: Some of the rooms have better views than others. Check direct with the resort and ask for a site plan showing the rooms."Pool Villa Layout

"Paradise found"
"Whoever looking for excitement, crowdy beaches and night life - stay away from this place and leave it to all of us who want to enjoy silence and unspoilt nature complemented by great service.
Cosy bungalows and villas set in the middle of beautiful lush tropical gardens give an unforgettable feeling at any time of day: in the morning, wake up and first thing you see is rays of light between green all around; in the afternoon you enjoy the beach or pool or the incredibly beautiful Spa - fabulous is herbal steam room followed by "waterfall" shower; in the evening, you can simply enjoy drink at your terrace or taste great food at one of two restaurants. Every evening there are different things organized: Thai curry night, BBQ night, lobster night etc. Talking about food, this was the best breakfast ever offered in any hotel I've been: loads of fresh fruits, fruit juices and shakes, eggs any way you like them, french toast, pancakes, rolls, croissants, warm thai dishes, home made jams (try blueberry and banana/passionfruit!) and very good coffee. I have one funny habit to rate hotels by coffee taste and quality and Paradise has definitely passed the 'test'.
In addition to all that the resort's huge quality is staff. Compliments to ms. Nadine who manages to keep such a great team. Compliments to Bel and all the kitchen & waiting staff.
The last but surely not the least - to me personally most positive experience - were the yoga classes with the most incredible teacher I've ever met. I sincerely hope that this place will stay as fantastic as it is for a long, long time."Pool Villa Layout

"The resort lives up to its name!"
"Nestled away in a quiet bay on a sleepy island, Paradise Koh Yao truly lives up to its name. The unspoilt jungle setting is a perfect backdrop to this lovely resort, set upon a pristine private beach - perfect for a romantic getaway. The staff were warm and incredibly friendly, and the food delicious - we particularly enjoyed the mediterranean BBQ, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. A comfortble veranda was the perfect spot to curl up and watch the Hornbills and relax to the sounds of nature... The morning yoga in the beach sala before the breakfast buffet was a gentle start to our lazy days.....there were several day trips on offer, and the islands looked enticing, but we were too relaxed this time - but we'll defintiely be back to try next time. I dont often write reviews, but this resort definitely deserves a recommendation :-)"Pool Villa Layout

"It really is paradise!"
"What a surprise arriving at Paradise, the resort is located in lush, green surroundings on a beautiful beach. Apart from the natural beauty, Paradise has a relaxing, tranquil and personal feel to it. The boutique style rooms have everything you need to feel at home and the beds are large and extremely comfortable. There are two restaurants, one serving Thai food and the other has western, Italian options, both delicious. During our stay the chef offered theme nights , we had a seafood night, a beach BBQ and Thai night with dancers. There is nothing like eating outside on the beach on a beautiful night! There are also 2 bars located on the beach with entertainment, one night a singer, the next might be a DJ.There is a yoga pavillion with 2 yoga classes a day if you feel the need. We found the staff helpful and friendly, and also chatted to the aussie GM and chef each day.
If you still need to keep in contact with outside world there is free wifi and 2 free computers in the reception area to use. We explored the surrounding beaches in a longboat, more swimming, snorkling and fun. There is a spa in the resort as well, with a herbal steamroom. I had the aromatherapy massage and a facial, both were fantastic. I would recommend this place to anyone who wants a complete get-away holiday. This definitely is a place not to be missed.Loved it!!"Pool Villa Layout

"SOLID"
"My wife and I have just spent 8 days at this resort and had a fantastic time. 8 days was just not enough and the time went by so quickly. It was by far the best resort for the money we have stayed at in our numerous trips to Thailand, and we have stayed at some very expensive resorts, but still prefer Paradise. Everything from the boutique feel, personalized service, cozy beautiful beach, delicious selection of food and killer massage… It was superb. We had an amazing time just relaxing in this beauty of a place. For us the benefit was the peace and quiet of it all; no matter how busy the hotel is, it truly feels like there is no one else there. If you get the chance, rent a boat and go to some of the small little islands before coming back to one of the resorts beautiful dinners on the beach. We will be back!"Pool Villa Layout

"Stunning, cozy n naturally amazing!!"
"We are a family of 4 kids, live in Phuket. We've been there a few times and LOVE it. The GM and staff there are exceptional.
It's a real piece of paradise with its own private beach.
Don't believe what we say, until you experience it by yourselves."Pool Villa Layout

"Relaxing at the Paradise"
"Recently I spent a few days at the Paradise Koh Yao, a boutique resort on koh Yao Noi (Little Yao Island). If you are looking for R & R (Remote and Relaxing) this is the place. Located off the East coast of Phuket Island in Phang Nga Province on a lovely little bay framed by the famous limestone stacks of Phang Nga Bay, the resort, while remote has first class accomodation and cuisine. I was there for a wedding ceremony on the beach. Lovely setting for a low key wedding. I stayed in a suite just a few meters from the white sand beach, freshwater pool and the two restaurants. Day after the wedding I had a choice of bicycle, kayak or motorbike for a little excursion. I rented a motorbike and with a lady I met on the boat going over had an enchanting three hour tour of the island. The dirt track getting out of the resort was a bit daunting but afer reaching the paved roads the trip was easy and pleasant. Ko Yao Noi is a fishing and agricultural island with little development. A slice of the 'real' Thailand. The staff at the resort is very friendly and competent and will make your stay very enjoyable. If you are looking for hustle and bustle this isn't the place for you. But if you like quiet, relaxation and escape from the cares of the world this is the place. Great for couples and family. No reason for business people to go there. A small caveat is that the a/c was leaking condensation on the floor. Not a problem and when I reported it I was told it would be repaired shortly, but I left the same day. Overall a very nice resort and a wonderful experience."Pool Villa Layout

"They call it 'Paradise' ....."
"They call it 'Paradise' and it really is! We arrived at Koh Yao Noi after a thrilling fifty minute speedboat ride to find an idyllic curve of golden beach with romantic palm-thatched bungalows hidden in the banana groves. So it was raining but that couldn't detract from the beauty of this resort! We were taken to our room by golf cart (we didn't know at the time that there were 85 steps up from the beach to get to it - but so what? we'd get fit and could always stop for a chat with the resident monitor lizard on the way up!) The room was large with a separate dressing and washing area, the bed draped romantically with filmy mosquito netting and huge patio windows which opened to leave you suspended above the banana groves with the most stunning views of the Andaman Sea and limestone outcrops. Outside there was an open deck with jacuzzi - completely surrounded by high hedges and so totally private! The semi-outdoor sala had a swing seat big enough for two, as well as a table, chairs and deck chairs. The wooden doors leading to the shower room could be folded back so you could shower while taking in the incredible views. This place took our breath away!
The spa was imaginatively designed and we thoroughly enjoyed our 'couples' complimentary massage although we gave the plunge pool a miss because it was raining! Happy Hour at the Beach Bar was popular - but meant a long wait to get your cocktails sometimes! The beach was clean and pretty although the sand underfoot got a bit 'squelchy' in some places when you were swimming. The beach restaurant really WAS on the beach - so you could sit under the stars with toes in the sand for dinner - magical! The palm thatched roof didn't really stand up to the torrential rain we experienced in the first few days but we only had to pick up the phone for someone to arrive and make it waterproof again.
We found that most of the other guests were Australian as the owner had flooded Aussie TV and internet with special deals. So we had them all bragging about the wonderful value they were getting - pretty galling when we'd paid top dollar!
It isn't totally perfect - where is? - but it's about as close as you can get. A glorious, stunning, amazing resort. We'll be back!"Pool Villa Layout

"Paradise on Earth"
"This was simply the best, most relaxed and worry free honeymoon we could have ever asked for. The island was beautiful, paradise on Earth. The staff were AMAZING. So friendly, efficient, helpful and incredibly attentive and tried their very best to patch any language barrier. The resort was stunning. The pool, was gorgeous and clean and the perfect substitute for the beach when the tide was out... and MASSIVE.
The rooms were very clean and comfortable, with great views of the surrounding jungle. We loved that each night the staff would come in and put our scented candle on and put the mosquito net down. So thoughtful.
There was endless opportunity for activities, or you could be left alone for as long as you wanted!
Prices were maybe slightly higher then on the mainland, but given the surrounds and everything else we received it was well worth every dollar! The whole holiday was priceless.
We loved it and hope to return one day!
Special thanks to Feed and Tina!! "ROY JEP!""Pool Villa Layout
