Paradise Yoga

Yoga Insight Our resident Yoga Instructor Akki is a born yogi from India and has life long experience in teaching various styles of yoga and meditation. He worked as Yoga Instructor, Yoga Manager and also conducted Vinyasa as well as Detoxification and Meditation workshops in several Asian countries. Akki's great knowledge and technical style help students understand and develop their own yoga skills. He conducts most of our morning and evening classes and also offers private one-to-one sessions on request. Akki is always available to his yoga students for yoga related requests and sharing information as well as experience. Meet him for a chat at the dedicated yoga table in the restaurant and soon in our planned Paradise Yoga Lounge.


Yoga Insight

Kristie comes to the resort once a week or on request to support our aim of offering diversified, appealing yoga retreats. She was born in the United States but has followed her passions for climbing, yoga, the outdoors, dance and spirituality throughout the world. Her adventurous spirit eventually brought her to a job as an outdoor adventure guide in China where she soon branched out to study, live and experience Thailand and India. Kristie has been blessed with the opportunity to go deeper into understanding herself and the world through her study of spirituality and healing. She loves movement and exploring its vast possibilities.


Parnatee is our local Thai Yoga Instructor who comes to our resort on some weekends to take over classes from Akki. She has many years of experience teaching yoga to national as well as international celebrities at Amanpuri in Phuket. Yoga students love her warm, engaging and passionate style.

All of our Yoga Instructors teach various styles of yoga and also tend to combine these within the daily sessions.

Hatha yoga is an integral part of an ancient and comprehensive system of spiritual development. The piece that Hatha yoga deals with is maintaining the physical body in a state full of life force, energy, circulation and oxygen. Adopting a Hatha style, we cover foundation and classic postures called Asana combinations, correct alignment and Pranayama techniques. Some of the classes will incorporate Vinyasa yoga. This is a synchronization of postures, breath and focus that produces a graceful and rhythmic flowing yoga. Emphasizing the body-mind connection, the physical Asanas maintain a healthy body through improved flexibility, stamina and strength, while Pranayama, the yogic art of breathing balances the emotions and calms the mind.

Historically, meditation has always been an integral part of yoga. Learning this esoteric art provides a rare opportunity to experience the deep silence that rests within your soul and to reconnect with your divine wisdom and authentic self. We encourage yoga students to take meditation instruction and make it a part of their daily practice.
